Yamaha Green Belt Development in Sallaghari Bhaktapur

As a part of one dealer one initiative program, The Wheels Pvt. Ltd., successfully conducted a “Yamaha Green belt development” project in association with Bhaktapur Municipality, support from local residence, community and with financial support from MAW foundation.
During the execution we faced some challenges , in which lockdown due to covid-19 was one of them, also the climate was the other region not only that the best season for the growth of the plant also played an important role in the execution of the project.
Regardless of all those hassles, with the effort of the team, local government, local residents we succeeded the project. Now, at this moment, the maintenance and taking care is going on, and for its sustainability, a gardener has been hired, as a part time caretaker.
Under MAW foundation project category it comes under the community development and Road safety, the targeted audience were community, highway users, local governing body and nation at large.
In the first phase, we had done land filling, levelling, cleaning of drainage, site clearance, addition of soil and later we planted golden dhoopi, green grass ( dubo). And now, it is being maintained and taken care by The Wheel Pvt. Ltd.
The project was conducted at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur Municipality, ward no 1, just along the highway and around 3000 square foot of area has been developed as a green belt.
Timilsina Nursery helped by supplying necessary plants, manpower, resources, execution was done by their team. Sallaghari community helped in execution by coordination, cooperation and during plantation almost all organization, offices supported by planting, which showed the solidarity for the cleaning and sanitation of the environment.
With the active participation of the whole team, all the stake holders the project was successfully conducted.
